Label
Los Angeles native Chaz Bojorquez emerged as a pioneer of the Chicano art movement in the late 1960s. He is best known for his street-style art that combines elements of East Los Angeles gang graffiti with influences from Chinese calligraphy and psychedelic counter-culture art. This print features the words somos locos, meaning "we're crazy" in Spanish. The style of the letters derives from an Old English gothic type favored by some East Los Angeles gang members for their graffiti and tattoos from the 1940s onward.
