This sculpture was made from a sheet of bronze that was hammered from behind to produce a raised image of the deity. The figure may originally have belonged to a set of sculptures depicting the guardians of the four or eight directions. Because the figure is missing the attributes that he once held in his hands, his exact identity is difficult to determine.
