LabelTomoe Yokoi is one of very few female Japanese mezzotint artists. After graduating with a degree in art from Bunka-Gakuen University in Tokyo, Yokoi moved to Paris in 1964 to study with famed printmaking master Stanley William Hayter. She moved to New York City in 1971, and quickly developed an international reputation for her exquisitely composed color mezzotints depicting traditional still life arrangements of different vessels, fruits and flowers.
