LabelArtists explored many different forms of non-representational art during the 20 th century, from highly conceptual geometric abstractions to more expressive gestural abstractions and a broad spectrum in between. Trained as a printmaker and sculptor, Henri-Georges Adam often produced abstract compositions in which he experimented with different combinations of shape, line and texture. Although the image in this print is abstract, it was loosely inspired by the scenery the artist encountered in the area of Penmarch along the coast of Brittany.
