Much of Leon Golub’s art expresses a pessimistic view of the world in which corporations and governments take advantage of an un-empowered, disengaged population. This print from late in Golub’s career illustrates his belief that too many young people in America waste their time and energy pursuing the hedonistic pleasures of modern consumer culture rather than more socially productive goals.
