This tent bag was likely made as part of a dowry suite. The mirrors were probably added to make it more eye-catching when the dowry weavings were displayed during the marriage ceremony. Mirrors are also used on textiles in Baluchistan to help repel “the evil eye” and other malign forces that can cause harm to people and animals. [Caleigh White '2020]
