LabelEdward Dalziel and his brother George owned and operated a print studio in London that produced wood engraving illustrations for many British newspaper, magazine and book publishers during the second half of the 19th century. This print satirizes the peace settlement that followed the short 1866 war between Prussia and Austria. It depicts the rulers of Prussia, France, Great Britain and Italy engaged in a game of roulette as they each prepare to take a turn profiting from the weakened Hapsburg Empire.
